                                       Epilepsy affects approximately 600,000 people in the UK ,

And 50 million people worldwide have epilepsy, making it one of the most common neurological diseases globally

Epilepsy is a chronic disorder of the brain that affects people of all ages.

​

Nearly 80% of the people with epilepsy live in low- and middle-income countries.

People with epilepsy respond to treatment approximately 70% of the time.

​

About three fourths of people with epilepsy living in low- and middle- income countries do not get the treatment they need.

​

In many parts of the world, people with epilepsy and their families suffer from stigma and discrimination

We are a non-profit charity , 100% of your money is used to move EpilepsySussex forward,

we pay no wages or  fee's ,we are all volunteers who give their time for free  because we are passionate about raising awareness and  to one day find a cure

We are an independent charity we have no alliance with any other charities, we work closely with the local consultants and epilepsy nurses throughout the Sussex area
